Personally, I had hoped TES:O would have been a very. I agree with Saozig about not always wanting to be 'The Dragonborn'. I found it majorly annoying (especially when I wanted some fast and easy loot) and eventually went and did Dragon Rising and the forts were all occupied by bandits again Sorry to waste your time.er, I'll show myself out.'" It gets boring playing The Dragonborn with every character, especialy if you want to create a character who's anything but a Savior of Tamriel type.īTW, with an earlier character, I put off Dragon Rising because I was lazy, and one thing I recall happening was after I cleared a fort of bandits, when I went back it would be occupied by Imperial soldiers who would ignore me outside but would run me off for trespassing if I went into any interior areas (I hadn't started the Civil War quest either). "Who me? The Dragonborn? No, no, no I think you're thinking of someone else. I wish we console players had an option to opt out of the Main Quest, like have them go up the High Hrothgard and tell the Greybeards they have the wrong guy. I've played several characters that only did the Main Quest up through Dragon Rising without any problems. But he never did anything more with the Main Quest after that. I ended up going back to an early save with that character and went through Dragon Rising and everything was fine after wards. With my last Wood Elf I tried to not do the Main Quest at all, and ran into problems with certain things not being activated, like some NPCs not being around, certain side quests and favors not being available and not being able to buy Honeyside. Most of my character don't get far with the Main Quest.
